Alex Tangas

Alex has a background in psychology, neuroscience, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. During her time as a psychology student, she volunteered as a research assistant in psych labs at both UBC and UW, focusing on projects in clinical psychology and cognitive dysfunction. Alex is also passionate about sustainability, and has spent the past two years advocating for change in the fashion industry through her clothing startup, which is dedicated to sustainable fashion education and innovation. This project brought her to the University of Washington, where she became more heavily involved in the Seattle startup ecosystem prior to joining Flying Fish. When she isn’t working, Alex is most likely knitting, sailing, or perfecting her latte art. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and an M.S. in Entrepreneurship from the Foster School at the University of Washington.
